World Caricature Institute: Manifesto

The World Caricature Institute (WCI) empowers individuals and organizations dedicated to the art of caricature through our certified representatives—true masters of the craft.

What is the WCI? It is an international elite of distinguished cartoonists for whom satire is not just a profession, but a life’s mission. Our members are undisputed authorities, holding prestigious positions within their own countries and on the global stage.

Our Philosophy The WCI is a constellation of unique talents and personalities. We stand as a support system for initiatives that promote cartooning and celebrate the creative spirit.

Unity, Not Rivalry The masters of the WCI are not rivals. Quite the opposite: we stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone who strives for the flourishing of caricature. We believe that a world with more smiles and positive energy is a world with less hatred and conflict.

Membership & Freedom Joining this distinguished circle is an honor, not an obligation. The WCI respects the precious time of these outstanding artists; we provide a platform without demanding their daily labor.

🔵The Old Guard: A Legacy of Trust and Mastery

The World Caricature Institute is more than a professional organization; it is a global Old Boys’ Network built on decades of mutual respect and shared history. Our community represents the Old Guard of satirical art—masters who have remained at the forefront of the international scene for over 30 or 40 years. This is a fellowship forged in the pages of iconic publications, at global festivals, and through countless shared memories that span across continents. We are bound by a bagaż zaufania—a wealth of trust that can only be earned through a lifetime of dedication to the craft.

In our circle, we follow the Ethics of the Masters, where professional integrity and a profound love for the art of caricature come before all else. These are the great names who have defined the firmament of satire for decades, proving that true excellence is timeless. We stand together as a Community, Not Competition, understanding that our collective strength lies in our unity and mutual admiration. While the world around us changes, our commitment to quality and the „spirit of the water” remains unyielding. We don’t just draw; we carry forward a legacy that the next generations can look up to.
